Gus is one of our cheesemakers, and also runs cheese deliveries and markets our cheddar at the weekly Burlington Farmer's Market. Before joining our staff, Gus was an apprentice cheesemaker at Parish Hill Creamery, his family's cheese business in southern Vermont. Prior to that, he worked for several years as an axe-throwing coach and in the produce department at Burlington's downtown City Market, where he co-authored a zine, the Produce Pawn. All of this while earning a B.A. in History from the University of Vermont. When not at the farm, you can catch Gus honing his culinary skills, studying world cuisines and foods (ask him about citrus), exploring the outdoors, listening to/making music, reading, writing, and enjoying films and documentaries.
