Collective Science and Stewardship with GLOBE: A 4-part series
An exciting new 4-part series of placed-education workshops, beginning March 3rd, focused on the carbon cycle and climate change using community science (Free for selected participants!)
NASA’s Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) program offers educator professional development in environmental data collection protocols designed for K-12 students. Extensive opportunities exist to collaborate locally as well as internationally. Explore ways to engage students in authentic investigations, reflection, problem-solving, and sharing their work publicly to strengthen students’ sense of efficacy and their abilities to create healthier lives and communities. Shelburne Farms is partnering with the National Park Service and NASA to offer this program, with support from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
A $250 stipend will be offered to selected participants who are able to participate in the first three sessions, collect local forest data with students, and provide feedback.
