Farm to Ballet

Special Events
Farm to Ballet performance on the Breeding Barn lawn.

The Farm to Ballet Project is an original ballet about a farm through the seasons. Dancing vegetables, familiar animals, and even the seasons themselves come to life through dance in a joyful and entertaining show. The ballet explores the relationship between farmers and land, natural food cycles, and the human role in ecosystems.

We perform The Farm to Ballet Project outside at farms and share our ticket sales with the farm to help implement regenerative agriculture projects.

Bring a picnic or enjoy food from onsite food trucks Pizza44 followed by a fresh scoop of Sisters of Anarchy Ice Cream made locally by Fisher Brothers Farm. Proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit Vermont FEED, a farm to school partnership project of NOFA-VT and Shelburne Farms.

A note on weather and rain dates: This event will take place in most types of weather. The start time of the event may be adjusted slightly to avoid inclement weather. In the event of severe or unsafe weather, the event may be cancelled. Ticket holders will receive email communication about any changes due to weather.
