In Bloom in Vermont: Promising Practices in Nature-Based Early Childhood Education

Come make mud pies, collect wild strawberries, roll rocks and wander hayfields. New nature preschools and forest kindergartens are cropping up each year in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. There’s a flurry of preschool, and public school kindergarten and elementary teachers implementing Forest Days—one day a week in the woods not far from their schools.
