We know how disappointing and difficult it is for parents and their children to not have Shelburne Farms camp this summer. Even with the promise of vaccines, however, our regular camps are multi-household, multi-state gatherings that continue to pose particular risk for spreading the virus and its emergent variants. But we will welcome kids this summer—lots of them!—just not in our traditional way. This summer, we’re excited to support Vermont programs for school districts and their students and teachers. As we emerge from the pandemic, Vermont’s youth need time to re-engage, connect, learn and heal. We’re excited to be working with the Sara Holbrook Community Center in Burlington and the Winooski School District to support their needs, build their strengths, and have fun in the inspiring and powerful learning environment at the Farm. Even though traditional summer camp is not happening this year, we hope you and your family will explore our trails, pick dandelions, identify trees in the woods, and enjoy the natural world at Shelburne Farms.
